On December 11, 2022, the series of events for the "Beijing Outstanding Film and TV Drama Overseas Broadcasting Season" kicked off in Glasgow, the fourth largest city in the UK, situated at the mouth of the Clyde River.
Glasgow is the cultural and sporting hub of the UK, brimming with art and cultural vibes, and boasting some of Scotland's finest sports facilities and sports clubs.
During the broadcasting season, a selection of outstanding TV dramas, documentaries, and online audiovisual programs from Beijing, including "Investing in Beijing," "The Most Beautiful Central Axis," "Beijing Central Axis 2022," "City of Museums," and "The Grand Canal Adventure," will be showcased in Glasgow.
On December 11, local time in the UK, the "Beijing-London Short Film Festival" also made its appearance at this series of broadcasting season events, holding a promotional event at The Drawing Room of The Carlton George Hotel in Glasgow.
At the event, Ms. Zhou Jing, Director of the Beijing-London Short Film Festival Organizing Committee, introduced the basic information of the short film festival to British representatives and officially launched the call for submissions from the UK. The British representatives also showed great interest in the short film festival activities.
