The series of activities of the Beijing TV and Film International Screening kicked off in London on February 21, 2023. During the broadcasting season, a promotion for the "Beijing-London Short Film Festival" was held, where Mr. Chen Shiyuan, the project assistant of the festival committee in the UK, provided a detailed introduction to the short film festival, capturing the attention of the attendees.
Natalia, Cultural Counselor from the Cultural Department of the Brazilian Embassy in the UK, inquired about further details regarding the submission of works and extended an invitation to the Beijing-London Short Film Festival. She expressed a desire for collaboration between the Beijing-London Short Film Festival and the São Paulo Short Film Festival in Brazil to explore cooperation models and film exchange between China and Latin America.
During the Q&A session after the event, the audience eagerly asked questions, seeking detailed information about the submission scope and requirements.
The event also featured a sharing session by an experienced director who had previously participated and won awards at the London Short Film Festival. Students from the London Art School expressed their anticipation for showcasing the beauty of Beijing and London through their works, capturing the new changes in both cities in this new era.
In order to foster cultural, economic, and trade exchanges and cooperation between the capital cities of China and the UK, and deepen mutual understanding among the populations, especially the young generation, Jingzu Culture has established the "Beijing-London Short Film Festival," which has garnered attention from various industry professionals since its inception.
