In a mountain village in Fujian, Li Meng has been living with her grandparents since childhood. She harbors a deep yearning for the sea, often wandering around the village. Her attention is captured by Hai Shan, the village eccentric, who rides a rare motorcycle. Despite several encounters with Hai Shan, departures remain the dominant theme of life.
