A young man with Asperger’s syndrome struggles daily with the inability to recognize others’ expressions and emotions, navigating life with painstaking care using a self-made “behavioral script.” On the other hand, a girl, burdened by the pressures of traditional Chinese elite education, follows the “rules of life” set by her parents, living a life akin to the walking dead. Through a clever “encounter,” orchestrated by the enchanting connection of the second law of thermodynamics, the two individuals step out of their respective life “equilibria.” In the end, they successfully bury the past “entropy” and embrace a new tomorrow.
